Striking nose of ripe citrus, banana puree and pears. Then comes a very structured and rather sleek, medium-bodied palate with excellent concentration and tension through the long, salty finish. Fermented and matured exclusively in stainless steel. Drink or hold. (Stuart Pigott, June 2024)

- Chablis 1er Cru "Montmains" 2022 - Burgundy Report, Bill Nanson - "Delicious"
A little extra top notes and energy here - a nice nose. In the mouth, this is more melting and delicious. The finish is broad and also delicious. Super! (Uk, March 2024)
- Chablis 1er Cru Montmains 2021 - James Suckling - July 2023 - 92/100
Lots of crushed stones and blanched almonds on the nose, with lemon pith and oyster shell. Medium-bodied, mineral and chalky, almost powdery in texture. Drink or hold.
- Chablis 1er Cru Montmains 2021 - Vert de Vin - June 2023 - 16 / 94
The nose is beautifully fresh, racy and offers purity on citrus fruits. It reveals notes of fresh/crunchy nectarine, fresh/ripe lemon and small notes of lychee combined with touches of lemon blossom, fresh quince, fresh kumquat and a subtle hint of fresh pineapple. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, which offers juiciness with an acidulous frame, minerality, a good definition between a certain juiciness and beautiful tanginess as well as a small electric side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh lemon, crunchy nectarine and small notes of acidulous/crunchy small white fruits associated with small touches of zest as well as a hint of yuzu, racy minerality and a discreet hint of fresh almond. Presence of a very discreet tannic hint in the background. Good length.
- Chablis 1er Cru Montmains 2021 - Burgundy Report Bill Nanson - February 2023
Width, and just a little extra depth to this very good nose. Fuller, more concentrated, and broad. This is fine in the mouth - well-textured wine with both width and a good intensity. The finish, so far, has the most interest and depth. A complex agrume flavour. An excellent wine! 'The area that was one of the worst hit by the frost and snow... We can be happy with our 12 hl/ha'.
- Chablis 1er Cru "Montmains" 2020 - Jancis Robinson - UK - "Best white wines for Christmas 2022
Just a little fuller than some vintages but truly Chablis-esque. Neat and approachable. Some hint of molten honey over those wet stones! (November 2022)
- Chablis Premier Cru "Montmains" 2020 - Wine Spectator Buying Guide - February 2023 - 91/100
This white delivers a mix of lanolin, apple, butterscotch and mineral flavors. Fleshy, with a spine of vivid acidity for balance. Verging on creamy, this remains long and cleansing on the finish. Drink now through 2027.
- Chablis 1er Cru "Montmains" 2019 - 93 pts - James Suckling - July 2021
Brimming with ripe citrus and discreet oak, plus a touch of flint, making this an immediately appealing Chablis 1er. Nice, creamy texture on the mid-palate, then it glides into a long, salty-mineral finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

A more citrusy expression with lime and lemon and some flinty, chalky notes. The palate has a very fleshy, ripe and juicy feel with good freshness, too. Flavorsome peaches and a mineral edge to close.

Aromas of sliced apple, lemon zest, dried apricot and flint. It's medium-bodied with tangy acidity and a saline, flavorful finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Montmains, raised for 12 months in stainless steel, has a crisp and precise bouquet: apple blossom and fresh pear laced with slate-like aromas. The palate is fresh and crisp with a keen line of acidity, vibrant and energetic with a nicely poised finish that lingers in the mouth. This is worth seeking out. Drink 2016-2025.
