Tasting and food pairings
Irancy "Veaupessiot" 2020 has a beautiful ruby-red colour. With a fragrance of black fruits, such as blackcurrant and blackberry. It is both fruity and elegant, with supple tannins.
This full-bodied wine goes perfectly with white meats and poultry, with or without sauce, charcuterie and cheese.Press reviews

- Irancy "Veaupessiot" 2022 - Burgundy Report, Bill Nanson - "Super wine"
One of the sunniest locations in Irancy - near Palotte on the same south-facing hillside.
This has a different depth and a slightly smoky maturity. Lots of tannin but ripe and less intrusive today than the Mazelots - helped by lots of volume - the bitters are more forward though. Super wine though another wine to wait for - and at least 3 years I think. (UK, March 2024) - Irancy "Veaupessiot" 2020 - Vert de Vin - 89-90/100
The nose is fruity and spicy with a certain power and intensity, yet controlled, with a certain stretch. There are notes of violet, Bigarreau cherry and more slightly juicy blueberry and blackberry combined with hints of crunchy redcurrant and a subtle liquorice note. The palate is fruity with minerality and freshness. It also has suppleness, precision and a tangy structure. There are notes of juicy, plump blackberries, cherries and, more slightly, blueberries, combined with a touch of juicy, tangy red berries and fine nuances of racy minerality and anise.
